Wedding website welcome message generator
Write the welcome message for your wedding website in the voice you want, for a typical, destination or small wedding. Try another wording as often as you like.
What it does
Enter your names, choose a voice and the kind of wedding you are having, and tick the sections your site has. The generator writes a short welcome message that greets guests, says what the day is, and points them to what they need next. If you do not like the wording, press "Try another wording".
A welcome message works best at two to five sentences, which is about one screen on a phone. Anything longer belongs in your story or your questions section.
Nothing you type leaves your browser.
How to use the result
Copy it, then edit anything that does not sound like you. Read it aloud: if a sentence is not something you would say, change it. Then paste it into the Message section of your wedding website. If you are still choosing a site, start with a design and replace the sample text.

Questions
Is it free?
Yes. No sign-up and nothing to install.
Which voice should I choose?
Choose the one that sounds most like you at the door of your wedding. Warm suits most couples. Formal fits a traditional celebration. Light-hearted works if your guests know your sense of humour.
Why does it ask what sections I have?
So the message only points guests to things that exist. It is awkward to say "the reply form is below" if there is no reply form.
Can I use it for a birthday or another occasion?
It is written for weddings, but the structure works for any event page: greet, say what the day is, and point to what people need.
